Short biog
I am a freelance writer and photographer based in Glasgow. My main areas of interest are coastal and mountain photography, writing about the outdoors and Scottish History with a great knowledge in both fields.

I have written dozens of articles for the outdoor and photographic press and I am the author of two photographic books and I am currently working on another two.

Business interests
I am a full time writer and photographer running my business called Scottish Horizons.

I write regularly for a number of magazines and run photographic workshops. I also give talks about my photography to a variety of groups.

Under the banner of Scottish Horizons I publish my own range of postcards and greetings cards using my photographs which are stocked in over 40 shops within the Central Belt and Galloway and I also publish The Galloway Coastline Calendar using my images which is stocked in over 40 shops and Tourist Information Centres in the Galloway Region

Professional activities
I contribute regularly to TGO, The Scots Magazine, Scotland Magazine and Outdoor Photography whilst my images and writing have also been published in a number of other national magazines.

I contribute images to the Ordnance Survey and a variety of Tourist Board publications and calendar companies.

I am currently finalising images for a book called 'Portrait of the Ayrshire Coastline' which is due for publication September 2010 and I am in the process of writing the guidebook for the 'Ayrshire and Arran Coastal Paths' for Cicerone Press
