I trained at Manchester Metropolitan University, graduating with a BA Hons in Fine Art. This experience means that I approach image making with an artistic sensibility, creating bold and memorable compositions. A long-held passion for the natural world, its history and its conservation, informs my photography. I have contributed images to many books and magazines, written and illustrated articles for magazines, exhibited in galleries and work on commissioned projects.
|
I run an extensive photographic library at www.fran-halsall.co.uk, supplying images for editorial, books, calenders and for other commercial uses.
I contribute articles for magazines on both landscape character and environmental themes.
I produce and supply Peak District themed greetings cards to local outlets and they are also available online.
I teach workshops on landscape photography on location in the Peak District.
